About me and my practice

Hi, My name is Don, from Colne, Lancashire.
I am a qualified counsellor and owner of Purple Butterfly Counselling.
At Purple Butterfly Counselling, I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment to discuss any issue(s) you may have.
I offer integrative counselling consisting of person-centred, CBT, psychodynamic modalities, and solution-focused counselling. I have successfully worked with clients on various issues that they have needed help with, and I am proud of my work.
I am a registered member of the NCPS and have a full DBS background clearance and insurance.
I have a background in education (Over 20 years) and am a former bus driver and lorry driver.
My life has not always been easy, and I have endured many turbulent times. At a low point in my life, I was homeless. Counselling got me on the right path in my journey, which is why I have become a counsellor.
I offer counselling sessions at very competitive rates in my home, in your home, or online.
